
Thau people are the least-populated Indigenous people in Taiwan. After decades of tests in social, political, economic and cultural, Thau people were aware of the situation. In order to revive Thau culture, established TCDA of non-profit for the purpose of rescuing and rotecting the culture, traditions, languages and customs of Thau according to law in June 1999.
Panu Lhkapamumu as the first chairman, with 9 directors, 3 supervisors, elected by the members, which is the first registered Thau organization of reviving and protecting Thau language and culture.
