Meet Deepak Minz — a passionate Indigenous Youth leader from the Kisan community of Domposh village, Sundargarh, Odisha, India.
As a core member of the India Indigenous Youth Network (IIYN), Deepak is on the frontlines of reclaiming Indigenous identity and resilience in the face of cultural erosion and climate change.
At the regional level, Deepak serves as India’s representative in the Asia Indigenous Youth Platform (AIYP), where he sits on the council, amplifying the voices and aspirations of Indigenous youth from India.
As part of our 2025 International Day for Biodiversity celebration, Deepak shares a moving gift: a song titled “The Symphony of Life.” Through rhythm and verse, he reminds us of the sacred bond between nature and all beings.
Listen to the song. Feel its truth. Raise the voices of Indigenous youth.
The Symphony of Life
In the forest deep and wide,
Wild things bloom, and creatures hide.
Butterflies dance, rivers sing,
Nature’s choir in endless spring.
Mountains hum with whispered air,
Eagles soar with fearless flair.
Turtles glide through waters bright,
Fireflies flicker in the night.
From buzzing bees to towering trees,
Life unfolds in harmony.
Every creature, big or small,
A part of Earth—one home for all.
