As part of AIPP’s celebration of the International Day for Biodiversity, we invite you to listen to the powerful voice of Mr. Kaisanan Ahuan from central Taiwan. His message is a profound reminder that in his culture, everything has a spirit— animals, rivers, mountains and ocean are all part of a living family.
Mr. Kaisanan Ahuan, is a proud Taokas Indigenous Youth from central Taiwan, and a dedicated Indigenous Peoples Human Rights Defender (IPHRD). He represents the East Asia sub-region on the Executive Council of the Platform for Asia Indigenous Peoples Territorial Rights (PAIPT).
Mr. Kaisanan leads the Papora Indigenous Development Association (PIDA). PIDA is a member organization of the Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP).
