Jan 04, 2016 Mr. Vong Sokheng Ly

#‎Cambodia‬: Yesterday (4 Jan 2016) morning, Vong Sokheng Ly was arrested at 9:15 am when he asked to follow up on the petition which‪#‎indigenous‬ Kuy people of Prame Commune in Preah Vihar province had submitted on 2 Jun 2015 to the Provincial Officer demanding the Government address their land conflict with economic land concessions of Lan Feng and Ruy Feng International Companies.

The court released Vong in the afternoon after pressure from large number of villagers. He argued on the basis of relevant laws and human rights and they have reach an agreement with the local authorities to solve the land conflict.
