As part of the celebration of the International Day for Biodiversity, Jashpur Jana Vikash Sanstha (JJVS) has shared a beautiful video with the Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP), featuring the singing and dancing of men, women, elders, children, and youth from Ordhi village in Chhattisgarh, India.
Through singing and dancing, villagers convey a powerful message that forests are where Indigenous Peoples are. The trees, plants, springs, streams, and ponds represent the wealth passed down to us by our ancestors. It is our responsibility to preserve them for the future of our children.
AIPP would like to express its sincere appreciation to the JJVS team for taking the time to visit Ordhi village and document this beautiful and powerful video.
