ASEAN Study: LAOS
This study provides a brief history of Laos indigenous peoples, their profile in the country (including groups of indigenous peoples; population; geographical location; brief information on their economic systems; customary institutions; natural resources management and human rights concerns ), their current legal status in the country, laws, policies, programs and mechanisms applicable to them (including land, forestry, agriculture, property laws and policies), government projects in light of the ASEAN integration plan, key issues and challenges.
